Presentation Guidelines

Poster Presentations

  • The poster boards are 48 inches tall by 94 inches wide and will be installed in landscape (as in the photo below). Authors can choose the size of posters that fits the boards.
  • Font sizes must be easily visible from 3 feet away.
  • In general, posters tend to follow a normal paper content: title, abstract, introduction-rational, basis for the author's concepts & a few derivations if pertinent, results are key (eg. graphical, tabular, photos etc), comparison to other work, conclusions, references, but, obviously in a much more condensed manner.
  • It is not a question of making your paper fit as-is in the poster, but, given the relatively limited wording that can be squeezed onto posters, and to make it faster and easier for conference attendees to grasp the essence of your work, the important thing is that the poster should attract author's interested in your subject or related subjects by clearly stating the key ideas. It should thus provide a platform to get discussions going, maybe even leading to follow-up or collaborations after the conference.

Oral Presentations

  • Oral presentations are limited to 20 minutes.
  • This includes the main presentation, questions and answers, and transition to the next talk, so please limit your slides to about 15 pages, and plan on delivering your presentation within 17 minutes.

Common

  • All oral and poster papers are expected to be presented by one of the authors of the paper.
  • No-shows will be checked and papers without a presenter will not be included in the final IEEE Xplore proceeding.
  • If there is any emergency preventing you from attending, please email the program chair as soon as possible.
  • If you are traveling from outside of the US and have not received your visa 2 weeks prior to the meeting, please email the program chair.
