Faculty Position at Sungkyunkwan University

 The Department of Biological Science at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) invites applications for tenure-track positions in all areas of Biological Science. Applications are also encouraged from distinguished candidates at senior levels.  Foreign applicants are welcome to apply. We seek high quality applicants from any mainstream as well as highly innovative area of biological science research fields, such as Fusion Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Mouse genetics, Nano biothechnology, Molecular Imaging, Neuroscience etc. Quality of applicants is our key criterion for final selection.  Applicants should have not only a strong commitment to both teaching and research but also an outstanding record of research. Minimum requirements for applicants are possession of a doctoral degree, more than one publication from top journals, such as Science, Nature or Cell, and additional publications from top 10 percentages of journals in the research field of applicants. We offer highly competitive salary and starting-up funding for qualified applicants.

 Even though SKKU was founded over 600 years, our university is one of the fastest growing and the most high-technology oriented universities in Korea. Currently, SKKU is supported by Samsung Foundation. What the University has achieved in the past fifty years meets and exceeds that of the five hundred years preceding our current century.  The Department of Biological Science at SKKU currently has 17 faculty members conducting various types of research in the biological science field.
