- Room Reservation System: Our organization manages a number of rooms which can be reserved by staff and clients. We'd like a website which lets authorized people reserve rooms and see which rooms are reserved and when, but does not leak sensitive information. Legacy Project
- Exercise / Strength Training Tracker: Users can track their exercise and strength training activities, their weight, body fat, etc.. Users can set goals and the system provides visualizations of progress towards those goals. The system can analyze a workout (specified by the user) and determine which muscle groups are engaged to track activity of each muscle. Should be mobile-friendly. Legacy Project
- Event Registration System: Our organization hosts events. We need a website that lets us create events, allows the public to register for events, and provides an interface for our staff to track and manage event registrations. Users, too, should be able to track and manage their own event registrations. Other proposed features will be considered (e.g. point system).
- TA Application and Assignment System: Every semester, many students apply to be TAs. We need a website through which the students apply for TA positions, instructors can view and rate/rank applicants, and the system can help optimally match TAs to courses and instructors. Legacy Project
- CSCE 431 Project Team Matchmaker and Dashboard: We need a system which handles the creation and management of teams for the CSCE 431 project. The instructor specifies the projects (with descriptions), the students rank/rate projects and provide other information for matching, then the system matches students to projects in teams. The instructor can rearrange teams. The teams can specify links to github, heroku, pivotaltracker, etc. The website should show build status for all projects (a la travis.ci). Legacy Project
- Experience Recommendation / Review System: We need a private TripAdvisor / Yelp for small groups to use on study abroad trips. Students post "experiences" (restaurants, attractions) and give a short review / recommendation (e.g. "must do", "not worth it") that other students can use to identify worthwhile and interesting activities.
- Inventory Management System: We need software that tracks items in inventory (what, where, how many, etc.) and has the ability to analyze data, generate reports, forecast future demand, and more.
- Event Attendance System (Swipr): We need a system for tracking attendance at events via patron IDs. An example would be tracking class attendance using student IDs and a magnetic card-reader. The system should have the ability to differentiate between events (classes) and create reports. (possible collaboration with ERS team)
- Logic Daemon (Propositional Logic Tutor / Auto-grader)The Logic Machine at Texas A&M University hosts interactive logic software used for teaching introductory formal logic. The Daemon Proof Checker checks proofs and can provide hints for students attempting to construct proofs in a natural deduction system for sentential (propositional) and first-order predicate (quantifier) logic. The Quizmaster provides a variety of exercises, from questions about basic concepts such as validity, to wff construction and translation, to proofs, truth tables, and countermodels. The main goal is an improved, consistent UI, as well as possible integration of Prover9/Mace4. Legacy Project
